SEEDED SURFERS TO MAKE THEIR FIRST APPEARANCE FOR EVENT AT DAY 2

Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Japan Tour Mens Star Series 4 Star Event Billabong TSURIGASAKI Pro commenced this morning at 7:00 with the round of 128. Billabong TSURIGASAKI Pro will run to Sept.26th, Sunday to crown the 2010 event champion. 2010 edition of Billabong TSURIGASAKI Pro boasts the total prize money of USD $85,000 on offer which is the largest scale of a surfing event in Japan for the 2010 season.
The local weather is cloudy with 2 to 3ft. (1.5meter) conditions to create larger conditions for day 2 today.
ASP international Hawaii official judge Jerry Coffman called the finest athletes at first call this morning and called the round of 128 to go straight in action this morning.
The following round of 96 will be on stand by status. Coffman and his crew team are on schedule to crown a champion Sunday afternoon.
International surfers whom have registered to the entry list for the 2010 maximum scale surfing event Billabong TSURIGASAKI Pro will come from Australia, Hawaii, USA, Indonesia and many of them with high seeding.
ASP Mens World Ranking No.54, Drew Courtney (AUS) will surf his 12th event of the 2010 ASP season as event No.1 seed. Courtney is credited to heat 8 of the round of 64.
Former elite tour surfer Shea Lopez (USA) makes his first appearance at this event at heat 10 of the round of 128. 2009 event winner, defending event champion Parrish Byrne (AUS) will surf in R-64 heat 4 thinking positive and let his surfing do the talking towards defending his title.
Domestic surfers 2008, 2009 multiple ASP Japan Tour WQS Grand Champion Teppei Tajima as well as 2008 ASP Japan Tour Pro Junior Series Grand Champion Nobuyuki Osawa looks better than ever.
The event main venue Tsurigasaki Beach is located right next to Torami beach which hosted a WCT event in 90s before. Tsurigasaki Beach was also a sight for the WCT event in 2004 as a mobile venue for the round 1. Tsurigasaki beach boasts the finest and powerful beach breaks in the area.
